There is so much division today. Division between the groups in our society. Naturally we cling to people and begin to have "friend groups" and such, and that's okay. Friends are awesome aren't they! But God has shown me that I need to be careful. Being closed off is how a lot of people can be perceived in groups. For instance. My friends.. We all are about the same age, we dress in the same brands, we live in similar homes, we go to the same church or type of church, we are well educated and christian. Wow it really puts things in perspective when I let my fingers type these raw facts. Isn't it sad actually. I never would have thought that everyone would cling to their comforts. Me included. Yes I love love and adore my friends, but I am too comfortable. I am surrounded by Christ loving, Christ seeking humans.. but who am I uplifting in return? I have closed my self off into a corner of privileged people who love the Lord. You may ask, why are you complaining.. aren't you supposed to surround yourself with people like that? Yes of course. But who am I influencing? There may be people who "look up to me" and such but am I really challenging myself to step out of this "great divide"? I am challenging myself, and you, to really put things in perspective and strive to be an outsider. Isn't that what Jesus was? He was far from normal. I want to be that also. I want people to look back at my grave and say, "hey. that girl, she was a game changer, she talked to the lonely, the people who never would have expected it, and she. yes she, made a difference." Oh how my heart sees such joy just to see a person's life changed by Jesus. So let us run, out into the great plains of this earth and be heard. Let there be no division in our lives. Let there be addition. Add on some people to that invite. Talk to some more people outside of your typical routine. And gee oh my will it be worth it. always in love, gcg
