Often times we are consumed with picking out the negative effects of every situation. Even in the good moments the temptation of evil is always residing and wanting us to see the bad even in a good situation. Today I want to be reminded of the little things in life that we need to be grateful for. During this week dedicated to "gratefulness" we tend to be thankful for maybe a day and then the gratefulness in our hearts slowly disappears - it's a short term effect you see. I want to encourage each of us to be grateful in every moment we can throughout the days of our more than blessed lives. Each instance is meant to be looked at in a positive perspective. Each moment is meant to be pursued as an opportunity- a chance to see light and positivity even in our worst times.
Being grateful for little things in life can be difficult when the negative factors seem to be so much more pertinent. Being steadfast in faith and gripping onto the wondrous opportunities in life is one way that being grateful can be easier to apply in our lives. psalm 100 "Shout for joy in the Lord, all the earth. Worship the lord in gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture." Reading this verse really puts things into perspective. We must shout to the Lord in every moment- joy or despair- mountains or valleys. We have so much to be grateful for. Every moment here, breathing, singing and even in our tears it is always good to know that we serve a good good father. We serve a father that paid the ultimate price. We serve a father who deserves more thanks than we could ever give Him. So I encourage you and myself to remember this during our wonderful holiday week that is filled with joy and blessings. Let us remember where all of our blessings come from and let us remember the reason for every breath, for every second. grateful, gcg

Today I was sitting in Chruch and I knew that the message was directed towards the circumstances that my family & I have faced recently. It is not a coincidence. No not at all. This message was to affirm this was all God's will. This precious face above, that is still breathing today. That was God's will. A living breathing miracle of His will, his power, his sovereignty.
