As I sit in the constant waiting, I want to just brag on my brother. I want you to know just a little bit about such an incredible soul that I am so fortunate to call my brother. Noland Jelks Glenn is 18 years old, and the oldest of the 5 Glenn kids. Anyone who truly knows him will know that he has 3 "F" values: Father, Family and Fishing. Father-he is a such a lover of our gracious and wonderful Father. It's inspiring truly. He is so quiet in his time with the Lord, he does not boast. He makes time for him and the Lord and he is so comforting to people. Family- He has such a deep love for his siblings and he truly loves his family. Most who know Noland would consider him as a very polite, respectable and honest young man with a great dose of innocence. Yes. He is so so innocent. He is so raw and full of traits that I admire so dearly. Fishing- this may sound insignificant but this is a true passion that Noland has pursued in the last couple of years. At 15 he was introduced to the sport of fly fishing and fell in love with the unique sport. We have watched him grow and have such determination in the sport he loves and he is now a nationally ranked fly fisherman in the US. Noland is also very dedicated to his education. He is only 18 but is almost a sophomore in college because he has been dual enrolling at the Univeristy of North Georgia. He is such a hard worker with true grit and determination. These details about my brother are not even a fraction of what I wish everyone could know. I do know that he is a true miracle. Sitting next to my brother rubbing his warm arms, cold feet and sweaty face I have to keep believing that Jesus' divine plan will prevail. He has lived such an incredible and worthy story thus far and Christ has just started to use him for his kingdom and oh gee he is not finished yet. I am trying to be real and raw but the facts are just so hard to say. He is in pain. Just holding his hand and still seeing the pain in his dark brown eyes is a heart breaking moment that I can't seem to shake. But Christ is reminding me and all of us that we must stay strong in our times of despair. I must stay strong for Noland. He would fall asleep for a few minutes and then wake up when the pain in his stomach was too unbearable to sleep through. I hold his hand and just pray with tears. He woke up and told me "dont cry Goo, you are strong. your a good sister Gooie." Gosh what an amazing human. Sitting in unbearable pain in a hospital bed with tubes all over his wounded body and yet he is still reminding me to stay strong. Noland is a fighter. I'm not going to tell you this isn't hard. It is, seeing someone you love so hurt is such a terrible feeling. But I do know that he can and will continue to heal, only because we believe in a God who can make the inevitable happen. With thousands of prayers now being lifted up to Noland, there is no doubt that Christ is using him in such a radical way. What a radical God we serve. Im sorry for sidetracking but Noland is an incredible miracle and what an amazing God we serve!! Praise God for what has already been done in Noland's life and everything else that is still to come. Waiting faithfully, The Glenn's
