Feet. They take us places. Honestly, where would we be without them? What kind of feet do you have? Not the appearance. Truly, where do your feet go? Where does your mind tell them to go? Who are you leading with your feet? Who knew these parts of the human body would be such a significant factor in determining who we are, what we are living for.. "Watch the path of your feet And all your ways will be established." Proverbs 4:26 Its weird to think that your daily tasks, your walking patterns, your movements, they are a part of who you are. Our feet- where they go, who they lead, where they don't go- these are all factors in determining who we are. Our feet play a huge role in our lives. You see we determine our ultimate purpose on this earth through Jesus, but what if we aren't living out His potential for us? What if our feet are leading us to wickedness & temptations of evil? The outcome of this is, "A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil" Proverbs 6:18. In return from running from His plan for us, we flee from grace, we flee from his overflowing presence, and instead evil becomes a friend, and Jesus just becomes a friend that is only on our agendas when we need Him. It's sad that it get's to the point that we are yearning for His presence after something tragic- when we feel we really need Him is just as important as any moment before. But the reality that we must interpret is that Jesus always WANTS us. Our reigning Father doesn't need us, in all of His glory and His holiness, but despite this, He WANTS us. What an incredibly mystery. Our sinful humanity has a father yearning for us because He wants us. I encourage you to look at your feet. Look at your potential. Close your eyes and imagine what you and your feet can accomplish. Summer is here! For me, I have an agenda, a schedule, but I am determined to use my feet for His glory. Whether It's at work, a summer class, a lovely vacation, you have endless potential to Lead. You have endless potential to use every moment for His glory. Praying for you, whoever you may be, and I, rooted together in Christ as our feet may lead us to places of desolate sinfulness, we still have an opportunity. Wherever your feet take you from now until the end of our time, remember they were meant to leave a legacy. You are meant to leave a legacy. To think that one day I will see my Heavenly Father face to face, I will flee on my feet to see His holy presence, and I pray you do also. Walking towards glory, G
